Frappato - 2022

Winemaker : Valle delle Ferle
| Region : Sicilia

We are not surprised by the probable etymology of the name "Frappato", dialectal derivative for "fruity". Surprisingly complex, despite its freshness, and pleasantly velvety. As much to warn you: the bottle will empty quickly after opening. Perfect match with a fish couscous (tested and approved).

Le vigneron

The Valle delle Ferle organic estate is located a few kilometers from Caltagirone, in the "Cerasuolo di Vittoria DOCG" appellation area, in the heart of the oldest wine route ever identified. Claudia Sciacca and Andrea Annino embody the responsible winemaking youth.

Since 2016, the couple invests all their energy, time and passion in this project, with the ambition of representing Sicily as authentically as possible, while working in the most sustainable way possible. Results ? Wines that combine local winemaking tradition, respect for the land and modern viticulture and winemaking practices.
