Forgotten grapes and unique terroirs. We have a particular fondness for forgotten grape varieties and lesser-known terroirs. These hidden gems bring a unique flavor to our collection and allow us to offer something truly different. It takes courage and vision to rehabilitate these varieties. Italy's terroirs are incredibly diverse, from volcanic soils and fossil debris to sandy, clay, and more. This diversity is matched by its climates, ranging from mountainous to maritime and continental.
Innovative and traditional techniques. We are fascinated by both innovative and traditional winegrowing techniques. This includes skin maceration, cryomaceration, the use of ceramics, indigenous yeasts, and spontaneous fermentations. These methods, whether old or new, bring out unique characteristics in the wines that standard techniques might miss, combining modern understanding with ancient practices.
Artisanal wines. We cherish working with small producers because their wines are true artisanal jewels. Large-scale producers, who must appeal to hundreds of thousands, often take the easy route. In contrast, our small-scale partners craft wines that are distinctive and full of character. Our winegrowers are also guardians of their terroirs, preserving the landscape and contributing to its resilience.
