Le vigneron
The history of the de Vescovi Ulzbach wine estate began in 1641 when Vigilio de Vescovi left his village to descend the course of the river Noce (at the time called Ulzbach). He settled in the heart of Campo Rotaliano, the cradle of the Teroldego grape that his descendants have grown as early as 1708.
Centuries later, in 2003, Giulio took over the helm of the family flagship, switched the production toward organic viticulture. He tried new winemaking techniques to bring modern, high-class wines to life, while remaining true to the distinctive characteristics of Teroldego and other grape varieties. Moreover, he is undertaking to extend his growing area to the Valle de Non, further north, to produce very tasteful mountain white wines.
