Does the Carricante grape variety speak to you? Between two lava flows, it has always been cultivated on the old terraces of the volcano. Formerly vinified as a blend with other local white grape varieties (such as Minnella and Inzolia), it is now appreciated in its purity.
Like here, with this Carricante di San Giovanni, which exudes remarkable minerality and tension.

Terroir
Eastern slope of Etna: Giarre, hamlet of San Giovanni Montebello, at an altitude of 450 meters. Cool and windy climate, with significant temperature variations between day and night. Volcanic soil, loose, rich in pyroclastic deposits and organic matter. Vines planted ad alberello with a planting density of 8,000 vines per hectare.
Le vigneron
The name of the estate chosen by Giuseppe is an ode to nature: Sive Natura refers to the expression of the Portuguese philosopher Baruch Spinoza "Deus Sive Natura", "God, that is to say Nature".
After years spent as enologist for the reknowned estate "Gulfi", and while still advising them, Giuseppe set up his own production and chose for that the Eastern slopes of the Etna volcano.
In his vineyards, the concept of “vigna giardino” (garden vineyard) takes on its full meaning: vines (including some centenary plants) grow between flowers, herbs and other fruit trees.
