Wine tasting advice

Bright straw yellow transparent, with greenish reflections.
Fresh. Intense and clear aromas of tropical fruits - melon - and white flesh, apple and almond, which open with notes of citrus fruits - lemon, mandarin, white flowers - acacia, hawthorn, aromatic herbs, mint, and slightly herbaceous.
Full-bodied, balanced and captivating. Slight salinity. Nice match with the nose - aromatic fruity and fresh notes of aromatic herbs. Elegant finish.

Vinification

Sweet pressing of grapes and selection of different parts of the grape must static clarification and devating. Addition of selected yeasts. Alcoholic fermentation at controlled temperature (approximately one week). Cold tartaric stabilization in December.

Terroir

Very fertile ground of volcanic origin, with an abundant presence of groundwater, which allows good irrigation of the vine. Vine pruning in cordone speronato (cord).

Le vigneron

The Carletti family, whose colors are now worn by the brothers Alessandro and Ferdinando, has been in control of Casale Marchese for about two centuries. Their magnificent home is built on the site of two ancient Roman cisterns. The Casale is indeed nestled in the heart of the Frascati DOCG appellation zone, which is part of the volcanic territory of the “Castelli Romani” (Roman Castles), south of Rome; the Italian capital can be seen from the balconies of the residence.
