A relatively late harvest (about a month later than the regional average for white wines) explains the wine's tannicity and intense colour. Once harvested, the grapes are taken directly to the winery, where they are de-stemmed, crushed and gently pressed. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats.

IL VERRO
The Il Verro estate is a childhood dream come true, that of five friends who wanted to promote the wine heritage of this small region in the north of Campania, located between Monte Maggiore, a former extinct volcano, and the valley of the Volturno.
The domain name itself is steeped in history. Designating the male boar (u verru), it refers to this highly prized game, once hunted by the Bourbon dynasty on these same lands.
Today, Cesare Avenia (one of the 5 grown-up children) is leading the project. He is supported by the University of Palermo in the study of old varieties that he has rehabilitated. Former manager of the Ericsson company, he chose the vineyard as his place of retirement.
